Evidence-based mental health presentations for churches — led by a licensed therapist who holds clinical care and Christian faith in the same hands.
Nicole Butterfield, MS, LMFT — Central Minnesota
Why It Matters
Anxiety, grief, trauma, neurodivergence — these live in the pews alongside prayer. Pastors feel the weight but often lack clinical training. Therapists have tools but sometimes miss the spiritual context.
Held Out Loud bridges that divide. Real mental health education, grounded in evidence and delivered with genuine understanding of what it means to hold faith and struggle at the same time.
Evidence-based frameworks — the real science behind anxiety, grief, trauma, and neurodivergence.
held together, not traded off
Delivered with deep respect for Christian faith — not despite it, but woven through it.
Presentations
Each talk tailored to your church's context. Every one rooted in clinical evidence and Christian faith.
01
Anxiety is a clinical reality, not a failure of faith. Practical tools your congregation can actually use, grounded in both therapy and Scripture.
02
Moving beyond platitudes into meaningful, therapeutic approaches to loss within a faith community. Where lament and hope coexist.
03
ADHD, autism, and neurodivergence in the pews. Nicole lives this — and knows how churches can become genuinely welcoming for differently-wired minds.
04
How trauma lives in the body, what healing actually looks like, and how faith communities can support real recovery — not rush it.
